The reason that I picked this as a book to save is that this book really goes into how long people can be angry at someone. This book takes place thirteen years after Elizabeth was killed, and June is still furious at Shay. This would be helpful to future societies, because they would see how people in our society used to think. This book also shows how far people will go to help each other. Shay killed himself so that Claire could live. This shows that we are not just some evil, malicious society. This book was also written by a great author. Jodi Picoult's books show the human mind so well, that at least one should be saved. In her books she really proves that our society had its flaws, but deep down we all have good inside us. Future societies should know that, even though our society had its criminals, and murderers, everyone could come together to help someone in need.
